Policy Governance® 101

The VSBA is hosting a one-day in-person training for newly elected or appointed members to school boards that have formally adopted Policy Governance® as its governance system. The same training will be held twice in two different locations for the convenience of our members

 

This training is designed for orienting new board members who want to understand the 'what,' 'why,' and 'how' of Policy Governance® principles. In addition to an overview of the 10 principles, the training will cover the mechanics of: developing and implementing policies, policy monitoring, agenda planning, work plan creation, board-self evaluation, and the superintendent evaluation process in a Policy Governance® system.

Cost:  $350/new board member. Price includes morning snack, lunch and materials.
